  4. Let it simmer for 10 minutes more and then add milk with cornflour.
  5. Add saffron strands and crushed pistachios and also fresh cream and mix well.
  6. Let it simmer for 10 minutes more and then switch off the gas.
  7. Let it cool for sometime and then put in kulfi or popsicle moulds.
  8. Put in the freezer for 7-8 hours or until set. Serve cold with chopped pistachios.

I have not tasted kulfi in my life. I know no one would believe this, but true. So I had no idea how a kulfi tastes. Even to try I was hesitant. Kesar pista kulfi is an ideal traditional Indian dessert.
