  3. Get 5 tbsp Castor sugar

  7. Take 1 tbsp Vanilla custard
  8. Make ready 1 tbsp Corn flour
  9. Take Water half cup
  10. Make ready 2 Egg yolks
  11. Prepare drops Yellow food colour few
  12. Take cup Sugar1/2
  13. Take 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  14. Get 1 tbsp Butter

Easy homemade lemon tart is a great citrus dessert made from scratch & using basic ingredients. It's a perfect baking project for kids as well! This homemade lemon tart is also perfect for beginner bakers! It is very tart (much more so than a lemon meringue.think lemon bar from the bakery), which I love.

Steps to make Lemon tart:
  1. For the base
  2. Beat butter sugar together till creamy
  3. Add in egg yolks and vanilla essence
  4. Rub the flour to make dough
  5. Roll the dough cut in 15 round using cookie cutter or spread on pie tray
  6. Bake in preheated oven 180c fr about 20 minutes till golden in colour
  7. For filling
  8. Put all da ingredients in a pan except butter and lemon juice in a large saucepan whisking gently
  9. Add on lemon juice and butter and mix
  10. Fill in pie tarts
  11. Your tangy lemon tart is ready to serve
  12. Serve chill

I will make this again but I would blend the sugar up in a processor first to make it a finer grain and help. Whilst the tart is baking, prepare the raspberry chantilly by whipping the raspberries, sugar, vanilla extract and cream together. This classic French lemon tart is the quintessential French tart, found at patisseries and cafes year-round. Cool, sharp lemon filling contrasts nicely with the flaky, slightly sweet pastry.
