  2. Prepare 8 cups milk

  6. Get 2-4 pods cardamom
  7. Get 4-5 strands saffron

Instructions to make Pal payesam:
  1. First soak the rice for at least 20 minutes.Then in a deep vessel heat up ghee & add the rice & saute for 2-3 minutes & keep aside.
  2. In the same pan boil the milk with 3-4 pods of whole cardamoms in it and keep stirring on a medium low flame so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
  3. Now when the milk is reduced into half of the quantity add rice & give it a good mix.
  4. When the rice is almost done add sugar & mix everything together.
  5. Once the rice looks mushy & the texture of the milk is thick & creamy,add saffron strands & turned of the flame then sprinkle cardamom powder on the top.
  6. Cool it down totally & garnish it with dry fruits & serve.
