  2. Make ready 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup Semolina/suji
  4. Take 2 tbsp Rice flour

  6. Take 1 cup Milk (250 liter)

  8. Make ready 1 cup Mawa/khoya

  11. Make ready 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  12. Get 2 tbsp Ghee
  13. Make ready 4-5 tbsp Ghee for making patisapta

Talking about Dida's Patishapta; there were several variations. I have had Narkeler Pur Patishapta (stuffed with coconut); Kheerer Patishapta Pithe (stuffed Patishapta or Patishapta Pitha is a famous Bengali Pancake or Crêpe type sweet prepared mostly during the Winter. Put a spoonful of khoya mixture in the centre, roll and cook, turning, till all the sides turn golden brown. Instructions to make Patisapta Pitha/Mawa roll:
  1. Take a mixing bowl add maida,suji,rice flour,jaggery and add milk and mix and make a smooth batter.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan add khoya and roast it low flame and stir continously. When there is chenge the colour & release the aroma then add grated coconut and stir and mix.
  3. Then add gur or jaggery and cardamom powder and mix it very wel.
  4. Now take a nonstick pan tawa over flame & grease the ghee evenly. Now take 1 tbsp batter and spread it over the tawa, thinly. Pour some ghee all around the cheela.
  5. Place 1 tsp stuffing over the roasted pancakes and fold it in a roll. Likewise prepare rest of the patishapta.
  6. With this much batter 10 to 12 patishapta can be prepared.
  7. Now the patishapta is ready to eat.
