Kheer is the original rice pudding, which became part of western cuisine through the British. I like this, but my husband and son didn't (too 'spicy' for them). The flavour is nice and somewhat creamy (would have been better and creamier with the proper proportion of.

  1. Make ready 3 kg Milk
  2. Get 4 Elaichi
  3. Make ready Pinch Saffron
  4. Prepare 2 cup soaked Rice
  5. Take 1/4 cup Coconut chunks
  6. Get 1/3 cup Coconut powder
  7. Prepare As required Almonds
  8. Make ready As required Pistachio
  9. Take 3.5 cup Sugar
  10. Get 2 tbsp Kewra essence

Kheer Recipe: Kheer is a rice pudding made across India, it is simlar to rice payasam made in south Indian homes. One of the most favourite Indian dessert rice kheer can be made quickly and easily with just a few ingredients. Kheer is indeed the perfect dish to celebrate a festival or just prepare it as dessert at home after a hearty dinner. Steps to make Kheer:
  1. At first together all ingredients then then soak rice for 20 min then take elaichi seed out and then crush them and make powder form…
  2. Let the milk boil for almost 20 mint then add crushed elaichi and safron then cook for 10 min..
  3. Then add soaked rice, coconut chunks (wash them before adding) and coconut powder let it cook for 5 min..
  4. Then add chopped almonds and pistachios almost 1/3cup and then let it cook for 30 to 35 min until become thick..
  5. Then Add sugar and further cook for 20 min then when it was done then add Kewra essence.. Cook for 2 to 3 min then shut the stove..
  6. Then garnish chopped almonds and pistachios and let it cool then serve…

Chawal ki kheer or rice kheer is a traditional rice pudding made for most occasions in Indian homes. Kheer and payasam are the terms used interchangeably and both are derived from the sanskrit terms "ksheer" & "payasa" both meaning milk.. Rice kheer is made with full fat milk. Kheer made with Rice (chawal ki kheer) doesn't need any introduction. It's a traditional sweet from Indian cuisine made with rice, milk, sugar, ghee and flavored with cardamom powder.
