The ingredients needed to make Vegan moong daal kheer:
  1. Prepare 1/2 cup moong daal
  2. Prepare 1,1 /2cup water
  3. Take 1/2-3/4 cup thick coconut milk
  4. Take 1/2-3/4 cup jaggery
  5. Take 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  6. Take 2 table spoon coconut oil
  7. Make ready 1/4 cup cashew nuts, raisine, dry coconut

Boil soaked mogar moong dal & sago together. When dal & sago are cooked whisk with whisker and add coconut milk & saffron. When starts bubbling & thickens add desiccated coconut raisins, Almonds & Cashews mix well and add jaggery. Put the washed lentils in a pan, add water and cook on stove.

Instructions to make Vegan moong daal kheer:
  1. Add moong daal in cooker or pot. Dry roast on medium heat till you get a nice aroma
  2. Then rinse well the well, and pour 1,1/2 cup water.
  3. Pressure cooker on medium flame untill soft for 2 whistle.
  4. While daal cooks, add jaggery in pan with 3 or 4 tbs water. Boil it on medium flame untill slightly thick yet runny and pour consistency. When it done keep aside
  5. When pressure release mash cooked dal slightly, add Cardamom powder, pour filter jaggery through it to moong mix it well.
  6. Bring it to boil
  7. Switch off the flame and cool it for 5 min. Pour thick coconut milk in it
  8. Take a small pan add coconut oil in it roast dry fruits
  9. Add dry fruits in kheer. And mix
  10. Serve warm or cool as a dessert
