  7. Prepare 30 grams Butter or margarine
  8. Prepare 6 grams Dried yeast
  9. Get 100 grams or more Coarse adzuki bean paste (or smooth aduki bean paste)

Pour cooked beans into a colander to drain water. Add beans back into pot, add sugar and stir on low heat until the water has evaporated and a line can be drawn in the beans with a spatula without disappearing. Mash up half of the beans with a fork or pulverize in a food processor.   6. Arrange the dough with the cut ends facing up in an oiled baking tray.
  7. Leave to proof for another 40 minutes. When the dough rises as much as in this photo, it is ready to bake.
  8. Preheat the oven to 390°F/200°C. Brush a beaten egg on the surface and sprinkle black sesame seeds.
  9. Reduce the temperature of the oven to 340°F/170°C and bake for 20 minutes and it is done! (When the surface starts to burn, cover with aluminum foil)
  10. Divide the rest of the dough into three and shape into balls. I put adzuki bean paste inside of one of them. I bake them separately from the bread loaf. Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C and reduce to 305°F/150°C. Bake for 15 minutes.

While rolls are baking, whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth. Dollop glaze onto slightly cooled rolls and enjoy. Small, shiny, red-brown beans with a little white thread down one side. They can be used in salads, mixed with other vegetables and also make a good stuffing ingredient. Soft Green tea bread rolls with adzuki fillings, using tang zhong or roux mix method.
